My pc was networked to my 15 year old sons pc by a router that says it is called "D-Link" 2.4 GHZ wireless router.

My son was playing with the settings I think yesterday and now he cant get access to the internet

I didnt set up the network (I paid someone ages ago) and I dont know much about pc's and I cant afford to get anyone out again

Is there some way I can fix it myself??

I have tried system restore and it doesnt work (the XP on the pc isnt genuine - again I didnt know this, a guy made the computer for my son and I assumed it was a real copy)

I am not having much luck :-((

    can anyone help us?

    thank you

It's unfortunate that you seem to be an innocent victim but we cannot assist with pirated software and therefore I have no other alternative than to close this thread. You may have some recourse with Microsoft if you explain the situation to them.
