    Hi guys,
Recently the colour (background colour it seems) has left any window i bring up on XP, but the strange thing is, the windows still show images and icons in full colour. Does anyone have any idea how to solve this? thanks very much for any help!

My computer has blue screened a couple of times recently, if that helps.

Check on the Manufacture site for your Video Card for any update drivers.

Also go into Safe Mode and see if it is the same.

    How to Start in Safemode

    1. Restart your computer.
    2. Before the windows logo you should gently tap the F8 key repeatedly until you are presented with a Windows XP Advanced Options menu.
    3. Select the option for Safe Mode using the arrow keys.
    4. Then press enter on your keyboard to boot into Safe Mode.

Try system restoremode. Find a previous selection before the problem occurred.
Get start/ run/ type Msconfig and ok. Than you 'll see systemrestore. Get the restore to a previous identified point. Windows creates regular points. So yust select one. You won't loose any E MAil or recent work. The PC will reboot and start in the earlier settings.
Otherwise restore your videocardsettings. or driver.
