I'm having loads of computer problems, I don't know if they are related:

My modem connection keeps dropping - I think this is to do with the ISP and they're looking at it. This has only occurred since I went away on holiday and they've admitted to 'database issues'

Also I'm getting blue screen messages (either bad pool caller or IRQL less then or not equal to) - I'll copy them exactly when it next happens.

I saw the Mentest tip on here but which of the many, many versions / options should I use?? and what do I do with it when I do? I downloaded both the binary and ISO verions and neither seems to do anything

Also Hijack This - could someone please explain what this is and how to do it (in VERY simple terms please).

Sorry to be so stupid but I've searched on here and quite frankly don't understand many of the responses.

My Computer details - Advent T9102, Intel P 4 550 3.4 Ghz, 250 Gb Hd, 512MB DDR memory - it's only about 14 months old but is becoming increasingly troublesome.

    Thanks in advance
