okay my girlfriends grans laptop's power socket was loose so i opened it up stripped out the Motherboard and re-soldered the connections on it, upon re assembling the laptop i find that now the screen wont go on, i have tried connecting it to a monitor but all that results from that is a blank green screen.
everything else appears to be working just looking for any reasons why this would happen. oh and i was grounded by a static rist strap as i worked on it.

quick responses would be very much appreciated
