    Hi,

For the past few dayz i ve been suffering a lot due to spyware/adware activities on my computer. some dayz back it started when i used to get pop ups of sites like ctv162.com / etc... and some chinese sites/porn...it kept coming often and then i started restricting those sites in "security" option on IE tools . but still they used to come.

problems started increasing wen my computer started giving useless errors at start up / giving more pop ups / cd wont auto run . flash disks wont auto play

then i got very frustrated and formatted my hard disk. to my shock they were still exisinting.

then i thought that it must have corrupted the RAM . so i got new RAM from shop .

but still now i am getting those pop ups . i have tried many spyware softwares recommended by editors at download.com - have removed watever they could detect but stil it is not goin .

my problem exists as it is. can you please help me in solving my problm.

    regards

    Vivek

    Hi sep11guy,
I'd recommend that you edit your post and remove your e-mail address. There are spambots(?) that trawl for e-mail addresses and you might find yourself deluged with spam.

    Moving on:
From what you say I think you need to post a HijackThis log and then wait for someone qualified (gold shield next to their name) to take you through what needs to be done. Please go no further than the steps below and posting your results for now.You may want to print off this guide just in case.

Using Hijackthis with the self-installer that puts it into Program Files for you:

go to Click here to download HJTsetup.exe

    • Save HJTsetup.exe to your desktop.
    • Double click on the HJTsetup.exe icon on your desktop.
    • By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Hijack This.
    • Continue to click Next in the setup dialogue boxes until you get to the Select Additional Tasks dialogue.
    • Put a check by Create a desktop icon then click Next again.
    • Continue to follow the rest of the prompts from there.
    • At the final dialogue box click Finish and it will launch Hijack This.
    • Click on the Do a system scan and save a log file button. It will scan and then save the log and then the log will open in Notepad.
    • Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
    • Paste the log in your next reply.
    • DO NOT have Hijack This fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

Once you've done this, hang on for further guidance.

    Richard.

    Hi and welcome to TSG,

I don't see any anti-virus program so first thing you need to do is get one on board immediately. Please go to the following link and download AVG-Free anti-virus and then post a new HijackThis log after installation.
