    Hello,

My computer seems to be running much slower so I hope you can help. I've run AdAware and Spybot, deleted temp files, and then ran HijackThis. Here is the log:

Run HJT again and put a check in the following:

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing

    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [gw5tRXa9g] ie4lient.exe

Close all applications and browser windows before you click "fix checked".

    Restart in Safe Mode

Open Windows Explorer. Go to Tools, Folder Options and click on the View tab.
Make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is checked.
Also uncheck "Hide protected operating system files".
Now click "Apply to all folders", Click "Apply" then "OK"

Go to control panel, add/remove programs and remove Viewpoint and dealhelper.

    Delete these folders:
    C:\Program Files\Viewpoint
    C:\Program Files\CSBB
    C:\windows\bundles
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\wsxsvc
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\vmss

    Delete these files:
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\adl_dh.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\secure.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\qxuuxjuj.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\dbcfnc.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\infskrnl.exe

    Reboot.

Go here and run at least two of the online scanners.
    http://forums.techguy.org/t110854/s.html

When complete reboot and post another HJT log for review.

    Restart in safe mode

Open Windows Explorer. Go to Tools, Folder Options and click on the View tab. Make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is checked. Also uncheck "Hide protected operating system files". Now click "Apply to all folders" Click "Apply" then "OK".

    Delete this file: C:\WINDOWS\System32\msupd5.exe
If you get a message saying it is in use press ctrl+alt+delete and "end task" on it.

Run AdAware SE Personal: http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/ again while in safe mode with these settings and make sure it's build 1.05.

On the bottom right-hand corner of the main window click on Check for updates now then click Connect and download the latest reference files.

In the main window: Click Start and under Select a scan Mode tick Perform full system scan.

Deselect Search for negligible risk entries.

To start the scan, click the Next button.

When the scan is finished mark everything for removal and get rid of it. (Right-click the window and choose select all from the drop down menu and then click Next)

    Reboot and post another log.

Run HJT again and put a check in the following:

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {120333B0-894A-3509-B0F1-ECD577F634C9} - (no file)
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {C9FE61E5-836A-F54B-F866-84E3054CEDFC} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\uvxgkknz.dll

Close all applications and browser windows before you click "fix checked".

    Now turn off System Restore:

On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
    Click Properties.
    Click the System Restore tab.
    Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Restart your computer, turn System Restore back on and create a restore point.

    To create a restore point:

Single-click Start and point to All Programs.
Mouse over Accessories, then System Tools, and select System Restore.
In the System Restore wizard, select the box next the text labeled "Create a restore point" and click the Next button.
Type a description for your new restore point. Something like "After trojan/spyware cleanup". Click Create and you're done.
