PLEASE help with SATA harddrive

    ok i order a new computer from newegg.com and got a new seagate 7200 rpm 160 gb hard drive and dfi motherboard and a 600 watt power supply

    im new to sata hard drives so i got the system all set up in the case and start the computer but i cant get to where i can install my OS im guessing i need to format my hard drive first but how? i try a 98 install disk and typed Format /S but it just says bad file or something i tried fdisk and it says no fixed disk present

    im not sure what im doing wrong but please help

    but i cant get to where it says i can install windows

    it just sits there

    it keeps saying "boot disk failure, please insert system disk and press enter"

    im so sorry i found out that i had my microsoft office 2003 cd in instead of my windows xp pro
