Due to a virus I was forced to delete some files. Now every time I restart my computer I get two error messages.
    Error loading C:\WINDOWS\NEWDOT~2DLL
    Error loading load.exe

    please help me

Moving to security forum, think you will get better responses there.

quite possible load.exe is from the virus. Newdot is spyware

!- the load.exe error is a remnant of the Nimda worm:

    http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/[email protected]

To eliminate it, from start, run system.ini and look for line which begins: shell=explorer.exe

It will probably look like: Shell = explorer.exe load.exe -dontrunold

You want to edit it so that it reads only:

with nothing after it. Do that, close the file and save the changes when prompted

2-- the newdotnet error is a result of "foistware".

Here are instructions for removing it:

If you do not find it in Add/Remove, or it doesn't remove properly, you should go to their site and reinstall it and then try again to remove it from Add/Remove
