so I was trying to download a free trial of a Pc game which is available. I downloaded it off of the website, (which I thought) was legitimate. Apparently not. It has since (in the past half hour or so) downloaded multiple pop ups, some browser in manderin (orange and white squirrel icon), and it has restarted my computer and installed a lock-out virus asking me to input some sort of product key. I've tried task manager but the rest of the screen is black except for the box asking me for the product key. Please help!! I'm not very experienced with computers so please dumb the answer down as much as possible!

What version of Windows do you have installed...

Can you run any programs or are you totally locked out of your Desktop...

Do you have access to another PC.... if so can you take a picture of what you see on sick PC screen and post it to this thread...

Do you have a USB flash drive (memory stick)

    Thanks,

    Kevin.

    Hey Kevin,
Thanks so much for the fast reply! I actually ended up figuring it out. I have Windows 10 so I ended up restarting my laptop into safe mode and restoring my computer, but keeping my files while deleting any non-stock apps and it worked! Thank you so much though!
