please help

    since i updated windows xp at microsoft home page my computer is freezing i have to restart button on tower . works okay for awhile then freezes again.it freezes everytime im on it.any suggestions?thanks

    You can undo the update by running System Restore and returning to a prior date. Usually updates automatically create a restore checkpoint prior to the install, so when you look at the dates, see if one is listed on the date you updated, otherwise just choose one prior to it.

    If it is one of the recent critical updates (Blaster virus/dcom related), I would strongly suggest reinstalling it, they are REALLY critical!
