I am going insane, I know I have spyware, malware and possibly trojans going on in my PC but no matter what I do I just can't seem to get rid of them. Granted I am no dummy when it comes to PC's I have cws shredder, hijack this, killbox, spybot search and destroy, ad-aware SE. the only thing is I don't know how to read a HJT log. but I know how to use the rest of them. Now my web browser is giving me blank white pages on most of my favorites or some new places I go. I'm loosing my mind please help me someone.

I'm not an expert, but you do have infections on the computer. I've been following this thread to see how the experts recommended you fix the problem, as I'm trying to learn this stuff. This I believe is indicative of a variant of the CWS infection:

    O2 - BHO: C:\WINDOWS\adsldpbf.dll - {EEE7178C-BBC3-4153-9DDE-CD0E9AB1B5B6} - C:\WINDOWS\adsldpbf.dll

And these entries are bothersome too:

    O2 - BHO: LinkTracker Class - {85A77577-A8CA-41b7-AA1E-DDAD4C0B12B1} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\hlwin.dll

    and

    O20 - Winlogon Notify: avpe32 - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\avpe32.dll
    O20 - Winlogon Notify: browsela - C:\WINDOWS\system32\browsela.dll

Unless you know what you are doing, I would not attempt to fix this by yourself.

After you are clean, you need to update to SP2 for your windows xp...and FYI, Spyware Vanisher is a known rogue spyware program according to here:

    http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm

Scroll down and check it out.

I think the reason no one has responded to your post is that the first reply to your post was from a member who probably doesn't repair malware problems...when your post was not a 'zero' reply, the fix experts figured you were being helped by someone else...they tend to follow their own threads.

Perhaps you should repost your problem with the HJT log in a new thread (you could link to this thread if you want), or PM one of the moderators to see if they can take on your problem.

    Good luck.

Sorry Cheeseball...didn't mean to overstep my bounds. I just found his problem interesting and noticed that his thread kept falling off the front page.

    Hope I didn't cause a problem.

That's okay, not your fault :) It's just easier not to have multiple threads for the same problem.

    This should still be done:

    Download Win32delfkil.exe: http://users.telenet.be/marcvn/tools/win32delfkil.exe
    Save it on your desktop.
Double click on win32delfkil.exe and install it.
This creates a new folder on your desktop: win32delfkil
Close all windows, open the win32delfkil folder and double click on fix.bat.

    The computer will reboot automatically.
After the reboot, the infection should be killed.

Reboot and post a fresh Hijack This log.

Click here to download the trial version of Ewido Security Suite:
    http://www.ewido.net/en/download/

    · Install Ewido.
    · During the installation, under "Additional Options" uncheck "Install background guard" and "Install scan via context menu".
    · Launch ewido.
    · It will prompt you to update click the OK button and it will go to the main screen.
    · On the left side of the main screen click update.
    · Click on Start and let it update.
    · DO NOT run a scan yet.

Restart your computer into Safe Mode now.
(Start tapping the F8 key at Startup, before the Windows logo screen).
Perform the following steps in Safe Mode:

    * Run Ewido:
    Click on scanner
Click Complete System Scan and the scan will begin.
During the scan it will prompt you to clean files, click OK.
When the scan is finished, look at the bottom of the screen and click the Save report button.
Save the report to your desktop.

    Reboot.

Post a new Hijack This log and the results of the Ewido scan.
