I am booting up a laptop and this is what I see -"Please wait...". For hours.

So clearly something ain't right.

The laptop was Win7, upgraded to Win10. It was stable after a few months, and as the SSD hard drive is small and space was tight, I deleted the Win7 back up. After that it all went Pete Tong!

The computer has performed a self re-install of Win10 - irritating, as I may have lost apps I had on there, but not a disaster - but I still cant computer in to Safe Mode.

Should I get a copy of Win7 and start again?
