Hi all I have an HP laptop windows 8.1 64 bit. My pointer is driving me nuts because it keeps freezing. I have gone to settings and everything else trying to fix the settings. Nothing has worked at all.

I am wondering if you know of a way we can fix this issue.

    Thanks so much.

can you try an external mouse - USB or wireless - see if that works at all

Yes it works. But I prefer just using the laptop mouse because, I use my computer in bed and it is hard using it with an external mouse

you could try uninstalling and re-installing - but if its a hardware issue , there is a chance it may not re-install

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

Uninstall and allow windows to re-install the adapter and Driver
goto the device manager > Network Adapters > click on the [+] to show all the adapters

right click on the adapter and from the menu

    remove/uninstall the adapter

Now restart the pc and allow windows to detect new hardware and re install the adapter and the driver
