Ok. I'm writing a program for a buddy. One part of the program needs to open WinVnc to connect to him via port :5500 and if he's home on the other end, popup a timer.

To give you a better idea, here's what I'm calling.

Shell(my.application.info.directorypath & "\winvnc.exe -connect blahblahblah.homeip.net:5500")

Everything works fine. I just need to be able to determine if there was a connection made. winvnc popsup an error message when he's not home, but that does me no good when talking about polling active image names b/c its part of the same image as winvnc.exe.

So I guess my next step would be to poll an active port 5500. Anyone know if this is the right route to go and if its possible? And if it is, how?

Thanks!
