I just bought a new Dell notebook and I tried playing DOD Source on it and my fps was horrible. My setup is:

1)Intel Core Duo 1.83 Ghz processors
    2)2 GB ram
3)ATI Radeon x1400 256 MB vid card with hypermemory
    4)80 GB hard drive

My friends are telling me that this setup should run HL 2 pretty well along with any mods. Any ideas?

I have the same laptop, and I can run DoD decently on medium to high settings.

Make sure you have the Latest Drivers for your card from Dell.

Also, make sure the aspect ratio is set to 16:9 for widescreen.

Remember, laptops weren't meant for gaming.
