    I have just got my computer hooked up to watch streaming video on my tv, via s-video connection. I have got it to work but the picture quality is very poor. I have been told that I should be able to get a better picture than I have but I don't know what the problem might be, - settings, hardware, tv?
    Anybody got any suggestions.

    Thanks

    pc = emachines t4010
    graphics card = nvidia fx5200
    tv = old but good
    :confused:

    How long is the S-Video cable?

    And is the quality good on the TV.

    Do you have any adapters or is it just direct as I used DVD Xpress with S-Video and the quality was very good.

    s-video cable is 7ft. I haven't loaded any adapters, I presume they are not standard equipment. What would that do? What is dvd xpress?

    I think we are at cross purposes here. I have the streaming video which I download on my p.c. The reception on the p.c. is really good but I want to watch on my tv, the tv picture is poor. I checked out the dvd xpress but it sounds like it works the other way around, is this what I need?

    OK unerstood......

    Streaming video isn't the best quality to start with.....

    Try and play a DVD if possible or good quality video to your TV and see what that looks like.
