    Currently with Virgin Media 20MB

Have a 54G Belkin Wireless Router with 4 laptops and 1 desktop connected to it at its peak (not very often if ever)

I'm using the desktop with a USB wireless connection, however everyone is getting very poor speeds 2MB maximum at times and connection is sometimes dropping on the laptops.

Anybody care to offer any ideas to help?

    Regards

    Ash

If you connect with a wired connection, do you get full speed? Most laptops won't come close to a 20mbit benchmark with a wireless connection. With multiple wireless connections running, I'm not at all surprised you don't get full speed.
