Virtually every time I use my PC, at some time I will receive pop ups inviting me to switch to Microsoft Edge! As I am perfectly happy with my Chrome browser, and have no interest in changing that, is there any way I can stop these nuisance items? (Other than switching to Edge, which I obviously do not want to do!!).

Yes, following the trail of "Apps / Default Apps / Web browser" I can confirm Chrome as my default browser.

Just about 1.0 a.m. here in the UK - closing down for a few hours but will look again in the morning!

Can you post a screenshot of the website that has this message? Typically Microsoft would ask you the first time then it will stop.

No instances of these popups today - perhaps they don't arrange them for weekends. Will keep an eye out for them and then come back on this thread when received.

Change your search engine to Google.

I use Chrome with search engine set as default.....aka Google. I don't see those popups.

So if I did as you suggest, I would not have the pleasure of seeing a different picture every day with Bing, when I search for something? I think I'd rather put up with the occasional unwanted message re Microsoft Edge!

You use chrome and then use bing as the search engine. Why? Then just download the new edge....it's chrome based and it uses bing.

Well, I have happily used Bing as my search engine for some years, but have only recently started using Chrome. So are you suggesting that if I start using this New Edge facility instead of Chrome, I can still carry on with Bing to do my searches quite satisfactorily ?

Have taken the plunge and downloaded the New Microsoft Edge. Glad to see that Bing does indeed appear as my source of searches. I will have to spend some time looking at the benefits (or otherwise) of continuing with Edge.
