Hi:
For some unknown reason, my new Dell computer has thrown me for a loop with popups. I don't do anything, don't right click, just go about things normally and the tool tips and other popups, sometimes 2 at a time, take over. It seems to happen across software programs, Word 365, gmail -- it just happened now, with 2 popups randomly appearing as I tried to type this.
In Word 365, I have the tooltips turned off but they appear anyway.
Hoping someone can help me with this.
Many thanks,
Jane
Not experiencing the disabling popups and have only noticed a couple the entire morning. So, fingers crossed, that will put paid to it.
And you did help, Dr. M. Just having an expert think through the problem was helpful. And, I do think that things have gotten better. If you want to keep the thread open for a couple of days that would give me time to work across different software formats and see if any of the popups repeat themselves.
Anyway, thanks again for pursuing a cause and (we hope) fixing it.
Yes, sure! Give it a couple of days and then we will talk again. There is one thing left to do in case the issue continues. But let's hope it got fixed.
Yes, Dr. M., we have news. No popups! You did it!!
Thank you again for sticking with it until we got a resolution.
If I can figure out how, I'll mark this solved.
Jane
KpRm removed all the tools we used which are not working as antivirus/antimalware solutions. We are using them for a specific reason, and since they are getting updates in a daily base, there is no purpose to keep them on our computer. If we want to use them again, we are going to download the latest version.
