    Do this in order:

    1) Open Internet Explorer -> Tools -> Internet Options -> delete cookies, delete files (select off-line content), clear history. Then click ok and exit Internet Explorer.

    2) Read http://tomcoyote.org/SPYBOT/index1.html then download and run SpyBot. Make sure to get the updates for SpyBot before you have it scan your computer. After you scan and remove anything SpyBot finds, make sure to click the Immunize button and OK and then click the Immunize button in the right pane.

    3) Run one of the following free Anti-Virus programs here:

http://housecall.trendmicro.com - I found this to work the best.

    http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan

    http://www.ravantivirus.com/scan

    4) Re-Post HiJackThis log.

I may open, oops, have my friend open some porn sites again just to get the attention. thanks much. I really am overwhelmed at the willingness of so many people to help on this site.

I had HT fix 2 of the 3 items Keith listed. The third, the last one listed, didn't show up.

Then, I installed SpyBot, updated and ran it. it listed only one item. I highlighted it and clicked "fix selecteted item". I got a message asking if I wanted to get rid of it. I said Yes, but when the results window came back it was still listed. I did this a couple more times with the same result.

Then, the Search and Destroy window seemed to freeze up. I couldn't close it with the X. I was able to close it using CtrlAltDel.

The item that it couldn't seem to get rid of was "Alexa Related. What's the related lin. C:=Windows\Web\Related.htm. Over to the right it said Replace File. I didn't know whether I should click that or not, so I didn't.

But maybe the item is gone after all. I couldn't find it in Explorer by looking at C>Windows>Web.

Here is the new Hijack log:

The way I deleted cookies was to do what NiteHawk said and go to dos and delete cookies, history, recent, temp and tempor~1. I've somewhat regularly deleted cookies, history and tempor~1 this way, but not recent or temp.

Anyhow, I then ran housecall and it reported no virsuses. I hate to post that long log once again after doing so so recently, but just is case here it is:

    After running Cwshredder

Go here http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/ and download Adaware 6

Install the program and launch it.

I strongly recommend that you read the help file to familiarize yourself with the program.

Before running the scan look at the top of the main window and you will see a Gear Icon. This is where you configure the settings. Click on that and then in the next window that pops up click on the "Scanning" tab on the left side. Under "Drives and Folders" put a check by "Scan within archives" and below that under "Memory and Registry" put a check by all the options there.
The click on the "Tweak" tab and under "Scanning engine" put a check by "Unload recognized processes during scanning" ...........then......under "Cleaning engine" put a ckeck by "Automatically try to unregister objects prior to deletion" and "Let windows remove files in use at next reboot" then click "Proceed"

Next in the main window look in the bottom right corner and click on "Check for updates now" and get the latest referencefiles.
After getting the latest referencefiles you are ready to scan.

Click "Start" and in the next window make sure "Active in depth scanning" is checked then click "Next" and the scan will begin.

When it is finished let it fix everything it finds.

    Restart your computer.

Then go here http://spybot.eon.net.au/index.php?...n&page=download and download Spybot.

Install the program and launch it.

Before scanning press "Online" and "Search for Updates" .

Put a check mark at and install all updates.

Click "Check for Problems" and when the scan is finished let Spybot fix/remove all it finds.

    Restart your computer.

Come back here and post another HT log and we'll get rid of what's left.

There are 4 files with strange sounding names that I can't find any information on, but they don't sound good.

In Hijack This, check ALL of the following items. Double check so as to be sure not to miss a single one.
Next, close all browser Windows, and have HT fix all checked.

Run Hijack this again and put a check by and "Fix Checked"

    O4 - Startup: Download Plus.lnk = C:\Documents and Settings\SantS\Application Data\DownloadPlus.exe

    Restart your computer and delete:

    The C:\Documents and Settings\SantS\Application Data\DownloadPlus.exe file

Be sure and take advantage of the "Immunize" feature in Spybot.

Finally go here http://www.net-integration.net/cgi-bin/forum/ikonboard.cgi?;act=ST;f=38;t=3051 for info on how this happens and how to help prevent future attacks.
On this page you will find a link to Javacool's SpywareBlaster and Spyware Guard. Get them both and check for updates frequently.
The Immunize feature in Spybot used in conjunction with SpywareBlaster and SpywareGuard and weekly scans with Spybot and Adaware will go a long way toward keeping you spyware free.

Important!: ALWAYS check for updated detections and referencefiles before scanning with Spybot and Adaware. And be sure to check for updates to SpywareBlaster and SpywareGuard on a weekly basis.

What did the online virus scan find?
