port scans

    for the past week now ive been getting port scanned 3 times a day.im using sygate free firewall at the moment and ive backtraced it to the same ip address!now although it says the threat is minor i wondered why they are persisting if they cant get in.my computer is always on and it seems the scans are every six or so hoursit says the scan is always on the udp protocol?any ideas:confused:

    Is your firewall up to date? Do you have any anti-virus protection other than your firewall?

    yeah thanks pjk ,i have kaspersky 6.0 anti and sygate free firewall which i said earlier,i know sygate is not existing anymore but people have said that its still a decent firewall despite that,well up to date on everything else fella,although since my first post ive been scanned twice again..by the same ip again!....makes me feel like putting his ip on here for everyone!!!!!lost now!:confused:
