hello........my friend has given me a 128MB portable item (it is the size of a keyring), that you plug into your usb point and it is supposed to come up on your computer as another drive. I haven't used it yet but can you tell me if I can use it to load and store games (as my hard-drive is almost full)..........or should I buy a second hard-drive? also for a beginner, would you suggest I buy an external hard drive, rather than an internal one (as then I would have to fit it)
    Thanks

You are not going to get much of a game on a 128mb USB keyring drive, its excellent for transporting files, powerpoint presentations etc, but not for games.

I would recommend getting a second hard drive, internal (cheaper) and generally faster. They are not hard to fit and prices are very low at present.

If you post your machine specs here you will get advice on what to go for and also on where the best deals are.

You use it exactly as you would a hard drive, mostly it is used for transferring large files between pc's.
Would not think it would be fast enough to use for game playing although I have never tried it for this use.
As you say yourself, better with a second hard drive, this would allow you to free up space on original drive.
Internal drive would be better all round, as for fitting most of the Techs on the Forums could walk you through the procedure.
