I keep having this problem where my mouse cursor will freeze on screen but I am still able to click on things, just not see where they are. My computer is also performing very slowly, which probably shouldnt happen with the hardware im using. I thought it could be memory related but I want an opinion first, anyone?

I don't think it's memory related - sounds like malware to me.
I'd start by first, cleaning my computer of all the junk on it - by running the disk cleaner/cleanup program (assuming you are running windows) and deleting everything it finds. Then defrag the HD
Then, if you are not using Ad-Aware and SpyBot, get them and delete everything they find.
Finally, if you are using any P2P programs uninstall them because they are the source of the problems.
