    Greetings one and all!!!

My W7 Pro installation is playing up and I would like to know whether it is possible to re-install it over the previous install. Reason being that I will then have to "re-hook" all my applications so that they can function properly.

I saw an article in Windows Secrets about "in-situ" re-installations, but it did not work for me.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers.

Of course you can. Just be sure to specify the correct partition. Best to first format the partition to clean up everything, but it is not necessary. See Installing and reinstalling Windows 7.
