spool32 is the print spooler in windows enviornments. Not sure why it's connecting to the internet, though.

it tries to connect to 80.255.255.255 on ports 9, 161 and 520, which seems a bit strange. haven't found anything on the net to explain it though

Is your IP address 80.x.x.x? It could be broadcasting for print servers.

As far as why, because it's Micro$oft. It's trying to find other comptuers and printers that you have access to. As far as disabling it, I'm not quite sure. I wasn't able to find anything with a quick search on google or MS.:(

depending on your version of windows you can disable it in administrative tools/services.

Yes, but that would disable Spool32 entirely. He is asking how to stop it from broadcasting. Or am I just AFU'd?
