Hi, I have tried for almost two weeks now to figure out what is going on. The symtums I have are:

    1) Explorer freezes up and I have to re-boot
    2) For now reason a program will begin taking up to 100% of CPU - like windows media player

    3) The settings on my Norton Anit-virus are changed. Auto protect is turned off and no matter what I can;t reset it. I re-insall Norton and run a scan - nothing is found -

Any thoughts and help would be appreciated

I'm going to move this to the Security Forum. Please give us a copy/paste of a HijackThis Scanlog:

    http://www.tomcoyote.org/hjt/

I deleted two previous "duplicate" posts.

I don't see any obvious reasons for those problems.

    Did you just run this?

    Z:\FixKlez.com

If not, how did it start?

You might want to take a look at this thread and see if the issues might be similar to what you are experiencing, particulary if the follow the running or accessing of avi files:

    http://forums.techguy.org/showthread.php?s=&postid=702716#post702716

For the NAV, auto protect problem, see if this applies:

I will say this much.. NAV has dependancies in IE. IF IE is broken then Nav is broken.

I personally would start with fixing your IE issues..

Then reinstall your Nav. This should resolve both issues.
