I'm wanting to post information about dog collars. In the past, I've posted links to Amazon pages and it hasn't been an issue (or I was never given a warning). This time, I'm trying to gather information about collars. There are three different collars I was going to post. I was planning on posting the name of the collar, how much it cost, and a link to the company website. I was then going to ask other members if they could contribute to the post other collars that they knew of that did the same thing as the three collars I would post did. I tried this on another website and I was accused of advertising. Seeing as how I've been here a long time and some of the moderators know me, can someone advise me on how best to create this thread so that it doesn't look like I'm trying to advertise said products?

As long as you're not linking to a site that you own, run or have some sort of interest in then I don't see any issue, especially since you've been a member for a while. It may attract some spammers though but we can keep on eye on it.
