Hello and thanks particularly to the Goddess of Fix.

I have been making PP shows and attaching sounds ( I thought).
They play just fine on my computer.

I mentioned a slide show with music to someone I had emailed it to and discovered there was no music on it. I put it on a CD and took it to my daughter's house and there was no music. So I spent a couple of days trying to figure out why the music wasn't a permanent part of the show. (tired, draining, bleh)

I tried the suggestion of adding media clip...not good...midi sequencer...no option of playing through the whole show...Finally I got a screen that said Power Point only supports wav files...mega discouragement. Wav files are huge!! OK for a CD I suppose. (sigh) There just may be no solution to this..

I have Musicmatch Jukebox on which I can convert files to Wav, Mp3 and Mp3PRO (whatever that is) and can make clips. I can also adjust the kbps on Mp3's.
I have Office 2000-SR and windows 98 and 255 RAM.

I appreciate any advise you're willing to give...Joyy

When sending the files elsewhere, copy the music files too. Put them in the SAME folder as the show. It's a very common problem that's really not a problem once you know.

There is a setting too under Tools-Options somewhere that says to "embed sound files over XXXX" and you can change that. But you can change it all you want, and it still doesn't send the music with the show.

OOO Dreamboat...I think I love you!!!

But there's something you need to know....I'm blonde.

Soooo...how do I add the sound clips to the folder???
Do I add as another attachment when I email??
    How about on a CD??

I can't wait to fix all those shows I've made...poor friends will have to look at them again...smile...bigger smile!

    Joyyful!!!

Yes. Just copy them. Just like you did the PowerPoint file.
Make sure your end-user puts all the files into the same folder when they put them on their hard drive too.
Folder name doesn't matter---just that all the files are in the same folder.

    WONDERFUL!!!

Thank you so much for your astonishingly quick response.
That is such a relief! And even a blonde can do it.

And if you ever need to know anything that I know like what's the weather like in GA?? I'll be pleased to share.

    God Bless...Joyy

    Update:

Sorry i didn't get back to you but my grandkids spent the night and i didn't have the energy left to lift my hands to the keyboard. I think I've found the last chocolate pudding blob though.

The weather here is "put the top down on your convertible and turn up the music not too hot not too cold blue skies."

I've been testing the audio on the slide shows via my friend Jack who now has them memorized...poor soul.
They are not there yet and are forcing me to use four letter words repeatedly. I am checking my settings and trying to make sure I haven't renamed or moved the files...
I am waiting for jack's reply on the last send...

    big sigh....
    Not working...

    Test Subjects:

One show has mp3 file to play on last page...nasty thing!! will NOT play...attachment plays but not in the pps

The other has a midi file which is suppose to start on the second/text page and play all the way through...only plays on the second page. Much sorrow here as this was a show of my paintings which I had hoped could be use to aquire a show place.
