Hi, I am adding a second hard drive to my PC as a slave to the primary, and I just wondered what the position is regarding power saving settings.

At the moment I have power saving set to switch off the hard drive if not used for 10 minutes. When I add a second drive will the system be clever enough to switch that off after 10 minutes too?

Without getting into the argument about whether or not it's a good idea to shut down drives, the power settings will apply to all the hard drives.

Thanks Norton, at least I know now. I didn't realise that there was an issue with shutting down drives. I guess I'll have to do some research on that now! !
