    HI guys:

I gave this PC that the power supply wasn't working. So I replaced it with another brand but with the same output (400W). Now every time I power up the PC the PS seen to start but immediately shut down. I returned the PS and place in another one but same thing happened.

    Any suggestion?

    Thanks in advance,

In general, the cause of these symptoms is severe overheating of the Processor Chip or the Power Supply itself.

Do you hear a "click" when the system shuts down?

What do you have to do to restart it:
    a. What a period of time?
    b. Reset the PS on/off switch?
    c. something else?

If it is the Chip overheating...is the Chip Fan starting? Is the heatsink mounted correctly and FLUSH to the chip?

Did you use a thermal paste or a thermal pad for good contact.
