I was wondering, is there a way to modify the standard powerpoint hotkeys? I need to change the goto previous slide command to the R-click mouse button for my presentations, as I have a remote mouse that I use.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just go into the settings for the mouse and change the default button settings. Reverse left and right buttons.

Well that's not quite what I had in mind, I need to use the L-click to go forward, and the R-click to go Previous. Its probably very complicated, if it can be accomplished at all. Thanks though.

you can use a wheel mouse to do the same thing but it's a little bit harder to control. just wheel down to go forward and wheel up to go back.
