Presentation Software

    Can anyone recommend an alternative to Powerpoint, that will produce professional looking presentations. I don't know whether the presentation hasn't been designed very well, but my boss wants something more professional looking. If Powerpoint is the only option, are there add-ons for transitions, etc. Something that can use 3D would be good too.

    The presentation software is only as good as the quality of the content it contains. I doubt PowerPoint is what's not professional. It's probably the presentations being displayed using it. If all you insert are titles, bullet points, and some clip art, it's not going to look as professional as if you used a custom-designed template, professionally created graphics, or even video.

    PowerPoint is a very powerful app. Maybe the employees at your company need some training on how to give professional presentations. PowerPoint is used at board meetings. But I can assure you they don't use the standard canned content generators.

    Thanks to you both. Looking at the presentation, now that I've been given it, I can improve it 100% in Powerpoint. There are no animations or anything in it to make it better. Does anyone know how I could do like a 'page curl' effect in powerpoint, or are there any downloads.
