Preventing Streaming Audio/Video

I performed a couple of google searches trying to find out how to prevent streaming audio/video on our network. Unfortunately, it seems like most of these streaming audio/video formats use random ports, so blocking ports won't work. Can anyone recommend a way (without using a proxy server) to prevent users from accessing streaming audio/video within our network?

Do you have control over installations on your network with policies, etc?

I know what you're getting at.

With over 150 computers on our network it'll be a time consuming task to go to each computer and uninstall the media players. Windows Media Player is also pre-installed on newly purchased OEM computers. If you suggest creating a logon script to automatically uninstall media players, etc., if you could point me to some links or resources that talk about creating such scripts it would be appreciated, because I've never done it before.

But, in answer to your question, yes...I have full administrative rights for our domain controllers. But when configuring computers to our network, I didn't use policies to install applications on workstations due to the number of notebook computers on our network. Notebook computer users have full administrative rights to install/uninstall applications locally (but not on the servers) mainly because they're used by regional managers and/or senior management - and god forbid they don't have access to install whatever they want.

If you had something totally different in mind, I apologize for the assumption. Thanks for any help you can provide me with.
