Primary Hard Drive not found at boot up?
I just installed a hard drive and went through the format and set up of Windows XP. Now when I boot, I get a "Primary hard drive not found" "Press F1 to continue or F2 to run set up" message. Yet if you press F1 it continues on just fine. I have seen this before. I know the fix is simple. I just can't put my finger on it.

    Howdy t1zzee...

    Hmmm....

Depending on the hard drive you installed ( SATA or IDE ), and the motherboard you have, you may have to go into the BIOS and disable boot from the other drive ( SATA or IDE )...

In other words if you installed a SATA drive disable boot from the IDE drive...

Without more info it's going to be hard to diagnose ...
