"magnification does not help" well that does NOT change the size of the text, it just zooms up on it like a telescope does and is only changed on your monitor screen.

As stated above, what are you trying to print from what program?

Hi. Thank you for your reply, sorry but I cannot see any where" print size" in your reply,
Secondly, does it matter what I print it could be say a piece of poetry or
a part of a medical problem.

Maybe. Perhaps even more important to trouble shoot this is the program(s) involved. Knowing if it is one program, some programs, or all programs would go a long way to narrowing this down.

Do what? Tell us what program(s)? If so, ...

Do you get the problem of the small font (print size) when printing something from Notepad? From a browser (such as Internet Explorer)? From other programs? Do you get satisfactory prints from some program(s)? If so, which ones?

Well, Len, that gives us something to go on. :)

My screenshot is the window I get after File - Print in Adobe Reader, but whatever PDF program you are using should give you some of the settings I've circled. Assuming you do, try some different settings to see if one or a combination gives some useful results.

    Hi Terry
I can only see the circle you have sent but it is too small to read no matter what magnification I use

Are you trying to read the thumbnail instead of clicking on it to open it?

    Hi Terry
Many thanks you solved my problem. At 87 years of age sometimes you need a hammer and chisel. best wishes Len
