print spooler will not start/ print subsystem is unavalible

trying to reinstall my printer , when istall screen comes up a box comes on and states
PRINT SPOOLER NOT STARTED. DO YOU WANT TO START SPOOLER NOW I CLICK YES then
another box comes on and states OUT OF RESOURCES PRINT SUBSYSTEM IS UNAVALABLE
dont know how to get PRINT SPOOLER STARTED. I go to ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS,then to services, click on PRINT SPOOLER WHEN I CLICK START ERROR BOX comes on and states PRINT SUBSYSTEM is unavalible. SO how do i get PRINT SPOOLER to start? Printer was installed on my computer before and i followed same instructions but it wont let me install it now. PLEASE HELP

Welcome to TSG...What make and model is your machine? Which version and service pack is your Windows O/S? Make and model of the printer might be helpful as well.

Go to services again-double click the spooler service, click the 'dependencies' tab, and see if there are other services besides RPC which your print spooler requires. Some lexmark printers, for instance, require that a service called Lexbccs (not sure about the spelling) must also be running for the spooler service to start.
