Hi All, I brought a cheap all in one printer, an HP one after the dog ran under the small table I had my toner printer sitting on and totally wrecked it as it flew across the room.

I now have a HP DeskJet 2623, as you well know the cartridges that come with it do not last long and the black ran out, actually I thought both cartridges did but the colour is printing fine since I replaced the black cartridge

Anyway when I put the new black cartridge in it came up with the align page thingi and asks you to put it in the scanner and etc etc etc and I followed instructions.

Thought that was the end of it and now every time I turn on the printer it prints this page, and won’t let you print anything till you do it all over again. I looked far and wide on HP support forums and apparently I am not the only one and they offer many long winded things to try a lot of them I already have.

One guy was even asking how to stop them all together as its printing fine once I do this alignment thingy, but every time you want to use the printer you are wasting ink and paper

Any clue’s that will point me in the right direction would be much appreciated, when I brought new, I brought a genuine cartridge (did not have much choice) shop had sent back a lot of generics they ordered as they would not work, so until I decide which way to go printer wise I got a low yield cartridge and a genuine HP one (really pissed off I paid full price)

Look forward to hearing how I can stop wasting paper and ink, as I do not have a lot to start with. I am using Windows 7 Pro on this computer and I am up to date with all updates and nothing showing as needing attention
