I istalled a new printer/copier/scanner recently and all seems to have gone smoothly. But now whenever I boot the system, load a cd, launch my dsl connection, etc, I get the message "please wait while Windows configures the printer" and/or ""searching for installed components" or something similar. Can anybody help? Thanks!

And what All-in-One printer? Sounds like the install did not complete - does the new device work?

Sorry...Win 98, HP 2100 series. I haven't tried to scan but print and copy work fine.

I would have replied sooner but I cannot log in from home...off now to find the right forum for that. Thanks

What model number again? I think the 2100 is a laser jet.......not an all-in one?????? Maybe I'm confused.......
