Hi,

I have downloaded the printer driver for my Lexmark Z42 printer from the Lexmark website, it's an .exe file which downloads as a .zip file, and when I unzip it, there are 46 files without any extension- how do I install the driver? I had the same problem before with Hp drivers as well- Is there a specific way in which I have to install these drivers? I use XP.

Thanks.

You will likely have XP set to "hide known file types" so the files are likely to all have valid file types.

One file will probably be a setup.exe or an install.exe file, which will utilise the others when it installs the drivers.

Just tried it.

All files have valid extensions and there is a "winsetup.exe"
Many are folders, named for each language that is supported.
