printer install -- error message

I have a Compaq 5000SR running WinME (Manufacture installed bundled software package). While attempting to install an Epson Stylus 600 inkjet I recieved the following error message. Title Bar = Epson Stylus Color 600 printer driver
error message = unable to load language DLL (F)
During another attempt I recieved a different message.
Title Bar = Epson Printer Utility Setup
error message = Setup can not copy the file. Your windows system maybe in an abnormal condition. Exit windows and try again or setup your windows again.

Welcome to TSG!
It seems the 600 and several other printers are partially supported for winME by Epson. I searched for updated drivers and there are none but they claim it should work.
I did find an article that specifically address how to load the software for WinME since it is different from Win98.
Take a look at the article and at the bottom there is a link to the software setup under WinME.
You may have to remove any drivers already added if there was any added.
