Printer offline

    Need help in figuring out this one:

    The printer shows offline on "print and faxes" window. The printer can be pinged. If the ip address of the printer and the port is changed, works fine for the day, however the next day the same issue is there.

    I have checked that there is no DHCP server and there are no ip conflicts. This happened a year ago, around the same time.

    Any assistance is highly appreciated.

    You really need to post some details if you expect serious help. Make/model of the printer, and the exact topology of the network it's connected to.

    Printers are Ricoh 8100dn pcl 6 - remote locations, connects to the ERP System via vpn using Citrix. All domain controllers, AD, printserver are at head office. no servers at the remote locations.
