printer sharing issue

    i have 4 pcs
    2 are running windows 7 on the wired lan
    2 are running windows 10 on wifi connected to the same network

    i have an epson L3110 printer
    printer is connected to the windows 7 computer which got easily shared to the other wired windows 7 pc

    unable to share the same with the other 2 windows 10 wireless pcs

    tried an search, driver install, epson software install, auto detect, manual detect, manually adding the printer.

    but nothing works

    Is the wireless network using the same series of ip addresses as the wired network? Some routers separate the wireless and wired, giving them separate ip ranges.

    how do i check that and then if they dont match then how do i change that?

    You can run the command ipconfig in a Command Prompt window to get the computer's IP address.

    the ipv4 address is different

    should i change it to match it?

    and is it safe to do so?

    Not the individual ip address for each PC; the ip address range:

    Eg. wired : 192.168.1.xxx , and wireless : 192.168.2.xxx; are separate networks. You want the 192.168.n to be the same.

    is that the default gateway?

    Are the workgroup names the same for all computers ? The default workgroup name is WORKGROUP.

    yes each computer has the default workgroup name set

    Some routers have the feature to isolate wireless connected devices from the ethernet connected devices. Does your router have that feature? If so, is it enabled?

    its not enabled
    accessed the router's setting page and it is unchecked

    ok got it to work

    just changed the name of the PC and then did the whole network sharing thing again and selected the printer on each pc and it worked

    now im facing another issue as i have shifted my printer to another pc
    its connected to the internet wirelessly

    all other wired computers are able to detect this pc and hence add the printer

    my pc is connected wirelessly to the network and unable to detect this printer on the other wireless pc

    all sharing options are ticked and available of the pc to which the printer is connected to

    in my computer i cant see this pc on the network and hence unable to add the printer
