Hello all. I use Windows XP Home Edition and I used to have a printer installed to my computer. I disconnected the printer but I still have the software left over. Like, there isn't a folder, but when I go to the printer settings and try to remove the printer, it just installs itself again and uses itself as a default printer! I tried going into the registry and removing all SPOOLSV stuff, but it just keeps coming back. SPOOLSV also takes like a lot of my memory. Is there anyway I can fix this? Thanks.

SPOOLSV is a Windows XP driver you need, which is used for all printers.

If you want to delete the older printer have you tried using Device Manager?

To open Device Manager, click Start, and then click Control Panel. Double-click System. On the Hardware tab, click Device Manager.
