Printing issues with Windows 10

On a small office network, no server, using a dot matrix printing for multiform documents.
The printer is connected to Machine 2 via a USB cable and that printer is shared. This worked flawlessly for years,
Machines 1 and 3 used the same printer for orders that had to be printed on the multiform printer.
Last week, (possibly after a Windows Update) Machines 1 and 3 can no longer print.
All of the shared settings look correct.
I'm having a similar issue now at my home office. My wife and I each have a Windows 10 computer. She has a Brother laser printer (black and white) connected to her computer, I have a Dell color laser printer connected to my computer.
Both printers are shared, and we used to be able to print to each other's printer.
