When I press turn-on button, blue light goes on, and #1, 3 and 4 yellow lights show up. No beeps.
But, I only get a black screen, no option to do anything.

I can't go into safe mode or anything else.
Would like to know what error the yellow lights represent., and what to do about it.

Thanks for any insight into this problem.

P.S. I am not using my computer to post this.

In that situation I would start by pulling the memory and reinstall one stick....try to boot up
Then try the other...see if any change

Well there are 23 different light patterns shown in the manual on pages 40 through 47. Unfortunately. 1, 3 and 4 amber is not one of the 23 patterns.

see if you can boot to the win7 disk and if you can, try a startup repair. make sure you set your bootorder is set for the dvd drive.
whatever happens, please post the results.

You can deduce from the patterns that ARE shown.
