I am inquiring about another computer that is a desktop with windows xp home edition. It is a amd athlon 64 x2 dual core processor 4400+. It has 1gb ram and 120 gb hardrive by wdc. 2.3 ghertz.
My problem is that will boot up after 20 or more times of hard booting and then it will only boot to the flashing cursor screen. Then after booting that several times it will boot to the bios and then rebooting a few more times after then it will boot all the way up and runs fine for a few hours. then it will crash and then I have to do the same thing all over again. Could my hard drive be going out?

    what are you running
    video card brand and model
    power supply

check the listings in the bios for 12v line voltages and temperatures and post them

sounds like a failing power supply
