I just installed Ubuntu 7.10, and when I tried to connect to my wireless network, I encountered a strange problem. I started the connection process, it prompts me for my WEP key (128-bit Encryption), I type it in, and press connect, and it starts to connect. The swirl thing starts swirling in the network icon, sometimes the bottom light will turn green, and then my computer will totally freeze. Nothing works. One odd characteristic that I had never seen before was that the Lock lights for Number and Caps Lock started blinking.
On an optomistic note, at least this version of Ubuntu recognizes my wireless card, unlike 7.04. I have a Realtek 8185 card by the way.
Thanks for any help with this issue!
