I am having a problem opening links in my Outlook Express. If there is also an attachment I can get to it that way. A lot of stuff comes in with just a link and I can't go to it that way. When I click on a link in Outlook it just sets there for a while then it kind of clicks and then nothing. I have tried waiting and still nothing. Where and how do I fix this?

    Hi cmayc

Control Panel > Internet Options > Programs tab
In the E-mail: field select Outlook Express as the default e-mail program.
Click the: Reset Web Settings button.
Apply, OK to save and close.

Let us know if that makes a difference.

    With all windows closed:
    Start > Run
    Key in:
    regsvr32 urlmon.dll

You should see a message for each .dll saying if the command was successful or not so wait for it.

If links still do not open a browser, repeat the process with these additional .dlls:
    Start > Run
    Key in:
    regsvr32 shdocvw.dll
    regsvr32 msjava.dll
    regsvr32 actxprxy.dll
    regsvr32 oleaut32.dll
    regsvr32 mshtml.dll
    regsvr32 browseui.dll
    regsvr32 Shell32.dll

You cannot open a new Internet Explorer window or nothing occurs after you click a link

Did you go through the steps in the link I posted?
What operating system are you using?

    Follow everything EAFiedler suggested.

    Then you might try this:
For Windows version (Win 98/ME/2000/XP) - Download iefix:
    http://www.winxptutor.com/download/iefix.zip

It is a general purpose repair utility for Internet Explorer which repairs Internet Explorer by registering it's core DLL files. Additionally if it detects Windows 2000/XP as the Operating System, it runs SFC to restore missing or corrupt Windows system files. Read about it here before using:
    http://windowsxp.mvps.org/IEFIX.htm

Requires Microsoft VB6 runtimes for Windows 98/ME systems, download here:
