I am having trouble installing the recovery console into my Windows XP Pro SP2, OEM version. If I try to install it from my OEM SP1a CD, it tells me that I am using a newer version of Windows than what is on the CD.

So, I slipstreamed SP2 into XP Pro. This gives me a current version of OEM XP Pro SP2. Now it tells me that it "error reading information from netmap.inf." It goes on to try to install it but aborts shortly giving me another error message and saying it cannot install Windows XP.

I did find a tip (#6363) at jsiinc.com about this issue but it was incorrect. It stated that I need to change a value in my windows registry, but the value in my registry is already as they suggested.

Anyone else have this trouble? Any suggestions?
