Hello.. this is my first post..
I have a minor yet irritating issue.

It doesn't occur too regularly but when it does I can't figure out what causes it.
I have no problem with my internet, and I keep my computer running well but
for some reasons.. sometimes the browser suddenly just decides to not load the
pages i frequent most.. like: google, myspace, deviantart, warez-bb and a few others
(doesn't matter if its Firefox, IE, Opera etc...) but many others like mycareer, netbank
hotmail, have no problems loading. So its not that my internet drops out because
even msn messenger loads fine.

I try many things, like disable firewall and AV.. release and renew ip..
uninstall and re install network driver.. delete cache.. reset modem.. EVERYTHING!!
but it doesn't fix it.. and then suddenly it will be all fine again.

Its obvious that there are little men inside my bookmarks folder having a good laugh
while they suspend them pages from loading but I just want to know what the
hell they're tweaking so I can at least know where to go to try to fin it the next
time they get drunk and play that annoying prank again!!

nah but seriously.. i can't figure out why it does this.. since I don;t get
the standard "page failed to load" message.. It just hangs and hangs and eventually
just stops trying to load. Its really annoying.

Anyway if someone could clear it up for me thanks a million.

I'd be looking for malware if it comes and goes.
thanks for reply JohnWill
but im quite sure its not malware.
I clean my system regularly and the most i ever find is
a few low risk cookies. I also do not see any foreign process or
suspicious activity while it happens. The only thing I can think of
is that since it occurs to only the pages I frequent heaps then it has to
be a cache or TEMP files or sum crap like that. I just don't know where to
look though.

Anyway its not a major issue.. just an annoyance, but if anyone could
help me understand it then that would be much appreciated.

Hard to believe there's no process running, yet you see that odd behavior. I think you may need to take a snapshot of the running processes when the problem occurs, and again when you have just rebooted and everything is working fine. I'd be looking for what's running when the issue occurs.

Bro theres no suspicions process running..
Its happening right now to me.. I can load this page fine but others just hang!!

I took a screen of taskmanager at startup and the only new processes running..
I also did a scan with Hijackthis and ran Security Task Manager..

The only change now is that firefox is running!
This page loaded fine.. google loaded fine this time..
but myspace.. youtube.. tinypic etc etc just iddle and eventually give a page load error!!
one thing i've noticed is that google reloaded i was signet out.. so theres something happening with cookies! (i know ur probably thinking now.. that sounds like malware.)
but i scan with hijack this.. and the log is identical to what it was to the startup log.
Its not malware.. its so freaken annoying!!
Im close to formatting to fix it but i thought I would find help somewhere.
Im not a pc guru so I can't figure it out.. but there doesn't seem to any here either
providing some good help!!

not been rude, but there just isn't help coming my way~!~

edit: Ok I think I have tracked the problem!!
I think its my queer service provider.. one thing I didn't check before
was whether the other computers experienced the same problem..
and yes they all have the exact same issues.. So it comes down to
the service provider.. I contact them and they are dumb they said
whenever it happens just to unplug the modem for a few minutes.. yeah nice fix..
So I got them to come and replace the modem first and then I will resort to
a bodgy fix if all else fails!

Anyway problem fixed.. (or at least understood!)

Glad you're making progress. :) The reason no help was coming your way is we ran out of suggestions. It's pretty surprising that the ISP is causing this issue, I'd be looking at common elements, the router first, then the modem.

Yeah I too doubt its the actual ISP... thats why I want them to change the modem.
(they recently installed a netgear modem/router) so if the problem is in that device then
it will fix the problem for good.. I never had that problem before.

Thanks for trying anyway Champ :)
